How Does DaVinci Commerce combine generative AI and agentic AI?

Yes. So um uh AI roughly comes in two forms. Generative AI was sort of you could think of it as the first generation of AI and what it was good at was conversing with an individual in the form of a chat and so on and then generating uh and that included content uh you know creative content, images, video etc or copy or descriptions or you know so you could use it to do writing, you could use it to do composing of images and so on. Uh but it didn’t really do anything for you. it sort of advised you and gave you content and returned to in response to your prompts. Uh, agentic AI is the other kind of AI and that’s newer and what aentic AI does is actually take actions on behalf of the user and agentic usually involves the use of generative AI because almost any action you take as a as a human involves some decision making and some analysis and so on. And that’s what generative AI does really well. But to take an action often involves a workflow or uh taking action on another system or even between components of a system and that’s what agentic AI does. So Genti uses generative AI where needed, uses um you know workflow automation in other cases, but basically just autonomously gets the job done that a human would otherwise have to do. [Music]
