DaVinci Commerce January New Year Edition: Our Big Resolution

DaVinci Commerce January New Year Edition: Our Big Resolution

It’s the time of year when many of us are struggling to commit to our New Year’s resolutions (and some have already abandoned them).

Look, we’re not here to make you feel bad about your New Year’s achievements, but we do have a rather large one to share. It’s hardly a few weeks into 2026, and we’ve completely rebranded.

Sure, most of the work was completed last year. Regardless, we put a lot of New Year’s energy into embracing the future wholeheartedly. On a personal note, many of us relapsed on our resolutions to cut back on caffeine.

So what does the future hold? For us, it means going AI-native with a rebrand that matches that spirit. AI is no longer an option—half measures and integrations will only satisfy industry needs for so long.

Going AI-native now is the best way for us to fully embrace where marketing in general is headed. But just as importantly, our vision of the future doesn’t forget humans or guardrails.

It embraces the massive efficiencies of AI-driven automation with humans-in-the-loop at every critical stage. That segues nicely into our very-human-made comic below.

It’s a carousel, so don’t forget to click through the panels.

Big Announcement: Jivox Raises Strategic Financing and Rebrands as DaVinci Commerce

Growing an AI-native platform is not without costs. That’s why DaVinci Commerce has secured strategic financing to help our platform flourish (even more).

Several enterprise leaders are stepping up to invest. They’re seeing huge potential for the platform to automate complex multi-step workflows that previously required tremendous human coordination. Investors include:

  • Saama Capital: Silicon Valley investment firm
  • Amit Singhal: Former Senior Vice President and Google Fellow
  • Sohaib Abbasi: Technology executive who served as CEO and Chairman of Informatica
  • Cosmos Nicolau: Senior engineering leader at Akamai, Fabric7, Google, GRAIL Bio and Neeva.

New Board Members Incoming

DaVinci Commerce is proud to welcome some impressive new board members: Ash Lilani, Founder and Managing Partner of Saama Capital, and Jerry Porter, who was recently Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Procter & Gamble Fabric & Homecare.

Ash Lilani is very enthusiastic about what DaVinci Commerce can do for commerce marketing. Ash commented:

“…AI is transforming the world of commerce marketing, and DaVinci Commerce hit the market at exactly the right time when all enterprises are wanting to leverage AI to adapt to the rapidly changing consumer landscape of LLM-driven conversational commerce,”

DaVinci Commerce Named A Top 50 Innovator at NRF 2026

Adding to the momentum and excitement, DaVinci Commerce was named a Top 50 Innovator at the NRF Innovators Showcase. The organization was impressed by the way DaVinci Commerce resolved bottlenecks in commerce media.

DaVinci Commerce CEO and Founder, Diaz Nesamoney, had a busy couple of weeks attending the National Retail Federation (NRF) and CES to showcase DaVinci Commerce and agentic commerce with a custom GPT. It was an opportunity to show how commerce, ads and LLM conversations are coming together.

Diaz Joins NYSE Wired And The CUBE For the Retail Trailblazers Series

Wrapping up at NRF, Diaz sat down for an interview with John Furrier. If you’re wondering how commerce media, commerce data and agentic shopping fit together, you won’t want to miss this conversation.

The two also addressed how brands can gain greater presence in LLMs and how DaVinci Commerce is making commerce conversational. It was an eye-opening look at the future of marketing, so please check out the video below.

Diaz Reminds Us To Value Human-led Ingenuity

Obviously, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding how agentic AI is shaping the industry (and our own platform).

We shouldn’t, however, forget how important humans are in the process. We’re necessary components of every campaign, no matter how automated things become.

Keeping us out of the loop is dangerous and flat-out scary for brands and humans in general.

But as Diaz points out in a recent LinkedIn post, it’s also important to value human ingenuity. After reading Leonardo DaVinci’s biography, Diaz found himself in awe at the inventor’s body of work and his unrivalled inventiveness.

It was a great reminder that AI can’t do what DaVinci did. It can’t innovate in general. We’ll always need humans to break new ground.
