Adobe’s Q3 AI traffic report is out and the numbers are up and to the right in many ways, continuing to reinforce how important consumers on LLMs have become to brands and retailers. Some key stats:

  • AI traffic grew across key verticals – Retail, Travel and Financial Services – with Travel leading the pack at 194% growth YoY showing summer holiday bookings increasingly originating on AI platforms
  • May showed the highest ever AI traffic to retail sites growing at 138% YoY
  • Conversions from AI traffic jumped from a 42% YoY increase over non-AI (primarily search) traffic last quarter to 54% in Q2 – more revenue unlocked per visit!
  • AI-referred retail visitors spend 53% more time, view 23% more pages and were 36% less likely to bounce showing how consumers are better educated and more inclined to buy when they arrive on retailer sites

All of this points to Agentic Commerce growth and the imperative for brands and retailers to invest in greater product discoverability in LLMs, improve consumer experience overall within LLMs via apps and MCP services and get themselves ready for what is bound to be an AI discovery dominated holiday season.
